A gabion wall doesn't have to be rectangular and can be an architectural feature.
Walls can be profiled to suit the contours of the land or particular customer requirements. In the above photograph the wall simply allowed the sloping garden to be leveled and tiered without hindering the natural flow of rain water away from the house.
